Garett is an Arizona native, born and raised, who knows every area of his home state well. At one point, he spent five years in Newport Beach, California, chasing his dream of becoming a rock star before happily moving back to his native home in Phoenix.

Garett and his wife, Tessa, live in Arcadia, a suburb of the Phoenix area, with their two young children, Parker and Ryder, and their not-so-young tortoise, Squirt.
