Joanna loved the condo she was renting but grew tired of paying someone else’s mortgage. She liked the area of town she was in, the size of the home, and even the payment. But it just wasn’t her own place, so she came to us with a specific set of criteria she was looking for in her first home.
As with many buyers, the most important factor for Joanna was the location. After looking at several places that just didn’t quite fit, we found the perfect one. Properties in her desired location (Williamsburg Square) didn’t come up often for sale, so when we saw one had been listed, we were quick to share it with Joanna. She agreed that the location was amazing, especially as it was within walking distance of incredible restaurants like La Grande Orange, Postino, and North. The price of the home was also fantastic, so we weren’t surprised when we found ourselves up against a cash offer immediately. Despite the full price cash offer, though, we were able to successfully negotiate with the seller and secure the home for Joanna.
Upon move-in, Joanna went to work, upgrading almost every aspect of the home and creating an amazing space for herself. After all of the upgrades and a fully recovered market, Joanna now has plenty of equity in her townhome. She even owns her place for cheaper than it would cost to rent!
About one-half of the people in which we help purchase homes for each year are first-time home buyers like Joanna. We love helping people into their first home so they can catch their own piece of the American Dream!
